Ingredients:
Meatball Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 lb ground pork
- 4 Tbsp Ineda Rub
- 3 Tbsp onion, finely chopped
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup. milk
- 2/3 cup unseasoned dry breadcrumbs
Bourbon Sauce Ingredients
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 Tbsp Ineda Rub
- 1/2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 3 ounces bourbon (can be eliminated if preferred)
Cooking Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Combine beef and pork in a large mixing bowl. Add Ineda Rub, onion, and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the egg and milk together until blended. Add breadcrumbs and stir to combine.
- Add egg mixture to the meat and mix gently with a spatula.
- Using a tablespoon, scoop out the meat mixture and roll into roughly 1.5 inch balls.
- Place on baking sheet with sides.
- Bake until cooked thoroughly, approximately 20 minutes, then remove the meatballs from the oven.
- While meatballs are baking, prepare the bourbon sauce.
- Add butter to a sauce pan using medium heat. Once butter has melted and begins to bubble, stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Slowly add the beef broth, until fully incorporated. Add one teaspoon of Ineda Rub, lemon juice, and slowly add the cream.
- Add bourbon and whisk a few times until thoroughly mixed.
- Once the gravy begins to simmer, add to meatballs and serve.
